November 2009 - ...In Autumnal Fog The MP3 download compilation "...In Autumnal Fog" is out now for free, featuring Oakenshield's track "Twa Corbies". The release can be downloaded at myspace.com/autumnal_fog.			July 2009 - Podcast The new podcast the Shield of Oak Show is now available online at http://oakenshield.podomatic.com. Hosted by Ben, the show features music from across the spectrum of metal including one underground UK act showcased on each episode. The first installment is available for stream or download now, with the second coming very soon.
	May 2009 - Legacy This summer full-time work on the album will be starting, with the hope of having it finished and ready for recording by the autumn. The working title of the release is "Legacy", and the songs will all revolve around the most significant events of the Viking Age in the British Isles. So far the songs have a much more traditional element, using existing folk melodies and incorporating them into the story. Aside from working on the album, Ben will also be recording three other tracks - two British traditional ballads and a Bathory cover. These will hopefully be recorded by the end of summer.			March 2009 - Three new tracks Ben has entered the studio to record three new tracks; a re-recording of "Twa Corbies", an ancient Yorkshire folk song "Lyke Wake Dirge" and a special Bathory cover version. More details can be found on the Oakenshield Myspace blog. Meanwhile, progress is still being made on the new album, with almost all the tracks completed. Hopefully the new release can be recorded this summer. More details to come.
	March 2009 - New album Writing for the new album began a few months ago and is currently running smoothly. The new material will be much in the same vein but with more of a traditional influence. The release will not be a concept album but all the tracks will follow the same historical theme. More details to come in the next few months...			Jan 2009 - Metal Message Vol. V Metal Message vol. 	1 Aug 2008 - Fear Candy 58 Oakenshield's "Yggdrasil" will be featured on this month's Fear Candy 58 CD, free with TERRORIZER, the world's leading extreme metal magazine. Oakenshield will also feature in upcoming editions of the magazine, including a UK Folk Metal special.			11 Jul 2008 - New merchandise The new Oakenshield merchandise is now on sale at Einheit Produktionen’s online shop. 	28 Jun 2008 - Debut album out now! Oakenshield’s debut album “Gylfaginning” is out NOW! The CD can be purchased at Einheit Produktionen’s online shop or from various European distros. 	Aug 2007 - Recording to start soon It is expected that recording for the first Oakenshield release “Gylfaginning” will be beginning at the end of this month.			Jul 2007 - Oakenshield signs deal with Einheit Produktionen Oakenshield is now officially signed to German label Einheit Produktionen (home of Thrudvangar, Odroerir etc). Both parties are extremely happy with the deal and look forward to a great future together!
	Jun 2007 - Oakenshield to appear on METALMESSAGE Vol. IV Oakenshield will be appearing on the highly acclaimed METALMESSAGE Vol. IV this year. METALMESSAGE is a compilation CD of folk and pagan metal artists. The Oakenshield song that will be featured on the CD is to be confirmed.
